As a result of the actions of third parties, an attempt was made to steal copper scrap from two rectifier transformers at the XXX substation, resulting in the leakage of transformer oil (8.00 Mg) into the soil. The soil and the drainage ditch carrying rainwater from the substation were contaminated. The contaminated soil was excavated and removed as hazardous waste.

The cost of remedying this damage is estimated at approximately PLN 500,000.

As a result of the actions of third parties, an incident occurred in the area of substation XXX. The costs consisted of draining 4,000 litres of transformer oil into the ground in the XXX Forest District. In order to repair the damage, trees were cut down and 46.00 Mg of contaminated soil was removed. Samples of contaminated soil were also taken to determine the level of contamination. A plan is currently being prepared to remediate the contaminated area.

The cost of repairing this damage is estimated at approximately PLN 400,000.

The winding of a rectifier transformer and electrical insulating oil were stolen from the transformer tank at the XXX substation. As a result of the theft, the soil of the neighbouring plot was contaminated with electrical insulating oil. As part of the remedial measures, the layer of contaminated soil was collected and soil samples were taken for analysis.

The cost of remedying this damage is estimated at approximately PLN 50,000.
